(i.e. they are not the wholesome version) Imagine this as a mad scientist lab concoction.
Choose wholesome food is because it is easier for the body to break down and they typically are well balanced with fibers and vitamins.
For example, a can of soda has equal sugars as 3-4 orange. However, orange contains fibers that slow down the rate of sugar absorption into the body and phytochemicals that counteract inflammation. Therefore you get less impacted by the sugar ingested despite taking in the same amount of sugar as a can of soda.
After all, being healthy is not so difficult, just have to take note of what you consume.
